Summer Programs
All summer programs at Lutherlyn include morning devotions, Bible study, worship, and evening devotions daily; regardless of the focus of the camp program. Each of these program elements focus on our summer theme. All specialty programs (everything that is not "classic" camp) will spend several hours each day focusing on their specialty activity, but they will also have the opportunity to do all of the traditional camp activities (crafts, swimming, ropes course, games, nature activities, hikes, etc.).

2025 Residential Camp Programs
Classic Camp
Together with your camp friends you can swim, do crafts, enjoy evening campfire, conquer group challenge activities, play games, discover nature, canoe, hike, play outside, just be yourself, and have the time of your life!

Classic Senior High
Take all that you love about Classic Camp and add late-night social time, movies, specialty crafts, adventures, and service opportunities and you have Classic Sr. High.
Sr. High (Grades 10-2025 Graduate) Week 1, 4, 6
Young Folks Short Week
A half-week camp experience with all of the excitement and activities of a full Classic Camp week sized for 2nd and 3rd graders.

Confirmation Camp
"ConfirCamp" at Lutherlyn is an invitation to join a group of ELCA Lutheran leaders in creating a safe place to explore our faith, build trusting relationships, and experience the joy of Christian community. Campers will spend approx. 3 hours each day in experiential confirmation class taught by Pastors and the rest of the day doing Classic Camp activities. The curriculum can enrich and supplement Confirmation Curriculum that is being taught at your home congregation throughout the year or can be a stand-alone experience. Grades 6-11 Week 1
Adventurers
Explore outdoor adventures at Lutherlyn! Stay at Lutherlyn (sleep in a cabin, tent, hammock, and under the stars) and be ready for a new adventure every day! Each day will feature a half-day adventure (rock climbing at Chapel Rock, canoeing, hiking, orienteering, campfire cooking, and the high ropes course). Moderate level of physical activity. MAXIMUM 16 CAMPERS PER WEEK.

Sr. High Adventurers Outpost
This program is designed for Senior High campers looking for even more adventures. This experience includes hiking all 17 miles of trails at Lutherlyn, sleeping out at a different place around camp each night, rock climbing on Chapel Rock, kayak races, deluxe campfire cooking, and all of the High Ropes elements at Lutherlyn. Adventurers Outpost is only for Senior High Campers! MAXIMUM 12 CAMPERS.

Life in the Wild
Explore the wilds of Lutherlyn! Choose one of the specialties below for your morning adventures. In the afternoon, you will have plenty of time for other exciting camp activities.
Jr. High (Grades 7-9) Week 1

- Outdoor Adventures – Experience a variety of exciting outdoor activities! Try canoeing, archery, hiking, campfire cooking, fishing, and more.
- Nature Nerds – Are you a nature nerd? Join us for a week of hiking, exploring, critter catching, and SCIENCE! We’ll hunt for amphibians, insects, wild edibles, and so much more!
Dig It! - Wouldn’t it be fun to dig up artifacts that have been buried for 150 years or more? Dig into the past, literally, with Lutherlyn’s archaeologist.

- Survival Skills – Build shelters and campfires, purify water, and eat plants!
- Nature Nerds – Are you a nature nerd? Join us for a week of hiking, exploring, critter catching, and SCIENCE! We’ll hunt for amphibians, insects, wild edibles, and so much more!
- Dig It! - Wouldn’t it be fun to dig up artifacts that have been buried for 150 years or more? Dig into the past, literally, with Lutherlyn’s archaeologist.

Horse Camp
Enjoy a fantastic week of learning about horses, learning how to ride or improving your skills, and riding in a beautiful setting! Instruction is offered for riders of all abilities by certified instructors. All horse camp programs spend their “non-horse” time doing lots of great Classic Camp activities! Three hours of horse time each day. MAXIMUM OF 8 CAMPERS PER WEEK.

Model Rocketry
Spend your week building model rockets, launching your rockets in a variety of competitions, and develop a fun hobby! Refine your skills and let your imagination soar. Light Saber optional. Each camper has a $25 credit for rockets. Additional rockets can be purchased with a store account.

Staff-In-Training
The S.I.T. program offers an opportunity to work and learn alongside the summer staff. S.I.T.s spend one week in training and may spend a second week as a Jr. Counselor or Support Staff Assistant.

Musical Theater Camp
Enjoy the thrill of rehearsing an original musical (Pastor Brewer's 40th original musical at Lutherlyn) and preparing for a live performance for families on Friday evening! Each day will consist of 3-4 hours of musical rehearsal and the rest of the day will include Classic Camp activities.
Juniors & Jr. High (Grades 4-9) Week 2
Arts Camp
Choose your form of artistic expression. Each day you will receive 2-3 hours of instruction in your chosen art form. The rest of the day will be spend doing Classic Camp activities. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!
Juniors & Jr. High (Grades 4-9) Week 5
- Arts & Crafts - Create a different craft project each day. Projects may include tie-dye, nature art, sketching, painting, crochet, clay sculpting.
- Camp "Performance" - Skits, campfire, song leading, and worship leadership skills. Help lead worship and campfire each evening.
- Bring Your Own Project - Already have an artistic hobby to work on? Each camper will have a 5 foot table & work space, supervised by a staff member, to work on your own project for 2-3 hours each day.
Night Owl Club
Lively nocturnal adventures! Stay up late - even all night. Go on night-sound & star hikes. Play night games like Clue & flashlight tag. Eat breakfast for a midnight snack. Experience worship with glow sticks. Watch the sunrise and THEN go to bed!
Jr. High & Sr. High (Grades 7-2025 Graduate) Week 7
Venture
Get serious about your faith and life! Venture is about meeting the challenges life brings; about sharing and growing in an intentional community. Join us for fun, worship, great food, theme nights, morning cartoons, hanging out with friends, staying up late, exploring your faith, and lots of surprises just for Sr. High Campers.
Sr. High (Grades 10-2025 Graduate) Week 5
Camp Medley
Do a different specialty activity each morning: tie-dye, canoeing, archaeology, high ropes course, outdoor living skills, and be a “Night Owl” for a night! The rest of your day will be spent doing your Classic Camp favorites.

Grown-Up Camp
- Why should kids have all of the fun? Grown-Up Camp includes the fun and excitement of kid camp with some relaxation, fellowship, and "extras" for adults! Anyone age 21 or older in invited to join in the fun!

2025 Day Camp Programs
Grown-Up and Me Days
- Campers age 3 - 6 spend a special day with their grown-up. Have fun doing a nature activity, craft, hay ride, songs, stories, swimming, parachute games, pony ride, worship, and campfire with s'mores! 10 am - 4:30 pm each day. Adult must be 18 or older and must stay with their camper for the day.
Ages 3 - 6 with an adult Weeks 2B (June 26 or 27), 5B (July 17 or 18)
Small Fry Days
- This day-long program introduces 1st - 3rd graders to Lutherlyn. Join us for pony rides, crafts, swimming, games, hiking, singing, Bible Study, hayrides, and campfire. Come once or come multiple days. 10 am - 4:30 pm each day.
Grades 1-3 Weeks 2B (June 26 or 27), 5B (July 17 or 18)
Day Camp at LUTHERLYN
- Games, nature activities, crafts, songs, stories, swimming, hikes, pony rides, Bible Study, hayrides, campfire, and lots more! A week long day program for 1st-5th graders. 8:30 am - 5:30 pm Monday-Thursday. FOR 2025, THIS DAY CAMP PROGRAM WILL RUN FROM MONDAY-THURSDAY BECAUSE FRIDAY IS JULY 4TH.
