Classic Camps and Specialty Camps

Small Fry Days

Day-long programs that introduce 1st to 3rd graders to Lutherlyn. Join us for days of pony rides, swimming, games, hiking, singing, Bible study, hayrides, and campfires.
August 8-12, Daily at Lutherlyn from 10 am-4 pm $23/day

Young Folks Short Weeks

A half week camp experience with all the excitement and activities of a full camp week sized for the 2nd and 3rd grade adventurer!
Week 5A (July 11-14) and Week 5B (July 17-23) $194.00

Classic Camp

Together with your camp friends you can swim, sleep under the stars, do crafts, go on a creek walk, enjoy evening campfires, play sports, canoe, hike, and have the time of your life!

Jr. High Salmagundi

A collection of twists on an old classic! Spend each morning doing a different specialty activity like pottery, archaeology, rock climbing, canoeing, camping skills, sports, and spending a night as a Night Owl. The rest of your day will be spent doing the favorites of Classic Camp.

Senior High Classic Camp

Take all that you love about the Classic programs, add late-night social times, movies, specialized crafts, and servant event opportunities and you have Classic Sr. High.
Sr. Highs (Grades 10-12) Week 7 $384.00

Night Owl Club

A full week of lively nocturnal adventures! Stay up late - even all night. Go on night-sounds and star hikes. Enjoy a nightly film festival. Play night games like Clue and flashlight tag. Eat breakfast for a midnight snack. Watch the sunrise and then go to bed.

Nature!

Nature Camp is about exploring in the woods, looking for wildlife, catching critters in the creek, learning how to survive in the wilderness, and helping out in the garden. You'll also get to sleep out, cook over a campfire and make cool crafts.

Archaeology Camp

Get your hands on history! Dig up, sift, sort and identify artifacts from the past 200 years and more. We have found all sorts of cool stuff from coins, to spear points, to human teeth! Your guide has worked on excavations all over the world.

Staff-In-Training

Lutherlyn's S-I-T program offers you an opportunity to be a part of and work with our summer staff as servants to others. This two week program offers you personal development and growth. In addition you will participate in the Theological Education with Youth (TEY) program. TEY is a ministry partnership between the Lutheran Theological Seminaries of Philadelphia and Gettysburg.

Adventure In The Arts

Select two artistic ways to express yourself. Each day you will receive two hours of instruction in your major selection and an hour in your minor chosen from the following:

  • Graphic Art - painting, drawing, and sculpting
  • Guitar - A crash course in guitar for the musically curious
  • Stage Art - drama, clowning, and mime
  • Photography - compose and develop your own black-and-white photographs
  • Musical - Please note: The Musical component of Arts Camp has been moved to week #8. It's new name is Musical Theatre Camp and will still be lead by Pastor Bill Brewer.

Model Rocketry

Learn the secrets of rocket flight and refine your skill and creativity as you build your models. Dick Freed, Mr. Rocketry, has led young rocket enthusiasts through thousands of safe and successful launches over the 34 YEAR history of this program. Join us for a week of high-flying adventure.

Model Railroading

Build your own model train cars and scenery and develop your creative skills for this life-long hobby. Pastor Larry Mort and his team of train buffs have engineered a fascinating week of learning and fun. Both skill levels will take a railroad field trip.

Sports Camp

Volleyball, Softball/Baseball, Basketball, Golf, Soccer, Archery
Select two sports adventures! Each day you will receive two hours of instruction in your major selection and one hour in your minor. Girls and boys are invited to join us for a week of fun and solid coaching to help you develop your skills.

Mountain Bike Extremes

Ride the rugged and varied trails of Lutherlyn and Moraine State Park. Learn terrain-appropriate trail technique, safe riding practices, maintenance skills, and fine-tuning of your bike. Participants are asked to bring their mountain bike and helmet to camp; a Mountain Bike with 21 speeds or more is suggested.

Musical Theatre Camp

An exciting program for those who love to sing and perform on stage. Pastor Bill Brewer will direct you through another one of his fantastic original productions. Enjoy the thrill of preparing for a live production for your families Friday night!

Horse Lovers Camp

Spend two afternoons at the Barn. Learn how to tack and groom, and receive instruction in the arena and on the trail. The remainder of your time is spent in the Classic Camp program.

Venture

Venture is about exploring the big questions of life and faith. It is also about fun! Get serious about your faith and your life. Join us for fun, worship, great music, theme nights, morning cartoons, hanging out with friends, staying up late, and sleeping in. It's a blast!
